Shoot 8 - Work Diary

E V A L U A T I O N

For my final shoot prior to the exam I went to photograph the river Thames. I chose to do this shoot at night time in order to capture the way the lights of the city shone over the water. This is a magical shoot, the lights on the boats and the light from the london eye created some stunning photographs. The water carries the image of the city within it and is a major landmark, just another reason water is incredible, its self can be a mode of transport, a land mark and a survival source.

If I were to re do this shoot I may try and do a day time version, and capture the sheer volume of tourists that enjoy the Thames on a daily basis. This shoot has inspired me to focus on rivers and the ocean in some of my future photography projects. I am excited to continue studying water and am pleased with the lessons this project has taught me such as depth and tone but also how to photograph moving things like water.
