Connecting Essay 5

I N T E R N E T   P H O T O

M Y   P H O TO

The first photo of Trafalgar Fountain is not a close up, the photographer has aimed to add depth to the photograph  by standing back on one of the raised concrete platforms. The fountain is in full spring as it often is in peak times during the summer, The sun light is reflecting off the water and the water is spraying out creating volume within the landmark.

My photograph of the fountain is more close up that the internet one however mine was taken at a quieter time which means the fountain is low and almost like an un-erupted volcano. However in my photo the lights shining in the fountain add to the drama. I chose to take the photo with the fountain directly in the centre as I believe believe this adds depth to the photograph.

The two photographs together could be two of a set as they are of the same subject however, they are different in their own ways. The lighting varies between the two and the fountain is certainly at different stages in both of the photographs. Over all I think to decipher these photos would not be easy.
