Shoot 3 - Work Diary

E V A L U A T I O N

In this shoot I decided to focus on the way water affected permeable solids such as paper, I used photographs of a model to make the shoot more related to photography, these were my own photos from a previous unit. I splashed water on the photographs and also soaked them in a bucket of water in order to see the effects. I immensely enjoyed this shoot as I love the way the water droplets sit on the photographs and when I soaked the photograph it almost looked as if only the models eyes are submerged in the water, like part of her is missing. I believe this shoot has a lot of depth.

If I were to do this shoot again I would use a less expensive type of paper as I would like to see the ink in the photographs run as I feel it would create a more dramatic effect on the photographs however despite this shoot not working out how I imagined I am pleased with the results I got. My next shoot I am moving back to coloured water but it links to this as I am using a bath bomb which is another permeable solid however this one reacts with water. I will be photographing the bubbles and the effect the chemicals have on the water.
