Shoot 1 - Work Diary

E V A L U A T I O N

In this shoot I was excited to introduce myself to the project, water seemed a daunting task to me at first therefore I decided to attempt an easy shoot to ease myself in. In this shoot I simply poured water into the glass bowl and photographed the splashing and the bubbles and just wanted to see the effects of water and how they could be captured with a camera. I used photo shop to do simple editing to create dramatic water photographs. I love the way the water shines and almost looks like a solid object despite the fact that the liquid is constantly moving.

I really enjoyed doing this shoot however if I could change anything I would've used both of my lenses in order to get a variety of shots, another thing I would try would be to add something like washing up liquid or bubble mixture to the water to see if this helped to create larger bubbles. Over all I really enjoyed this shoot as an introduction to my exam project. In my next shoot I am planning to look at pouring again however this time I am going to pour food colouring into a vase of water and watch the patterns it makes, it is interesting how the water and the food colouring mix to create clouds of colour within the water and I am eager to photograph this myself.
